Not really.

Harris just never had to do any of this before. Problem is not his talent.

Pro style is next to extinct in HS football. There may be a couple of kids in any recruiting class that can play that style relatively well on a college level. The rest just take a while to coach up.

Blake Sims is someone that people like to bring up on here. Well it took him 5 years in the system before he could run it effectively. That may be the time window we're dealing with here. I don't think BH will take that long but it may be at least another year.

How are you sure Sims couldn't have been effective in 2012 or 2013?

Uhhhh, yeah. And Alabama had enough talent in front of him to conceal his inefficiencies.

It's called depth and development. And that is why saban is not in the predicament that miles is always getting himself into.

We get it, Harris is not ready. But are you saying that it's okay to accept 8-4 again until Harris is a junior? Hell no.

Miles/cam should have the most important position on the field ready to go.......to win games and maybe be in the discussion for a conference title again.

So b/c he sat behind a guy that won 2 national championships, a 109 yard FG kick return from his 3rd in a row, runner-up Heisman, and Alabama's career and season passing leader, you assume Sims did not know how to run the offense effectively?

This pro-style excuse is just stupid. over 50% of our offense requires absolutely no work by the QB. Of the other 50% we are passing, we rarely have more than 3 guys go out for a pass, if even that many. It's not that difficult of an offense to grasp.

Our offense is more old school highschool-style than pro-style.

There is more than a couple, yet we continue to try and fit a square peg in round hole.

Retting must have been awful.

At some point you have to look at the long line of failed LSU QB's and realize there's a systematic problem.

The best coaches will adjust schemes/styles based on the talent they have and what that talent is good at doing for the best overall results.

Urban Meyer wanted Harris, so that tells me all I need to know about Harris' talent.

Is there any way we can run a quarterback-less offense next year until our coaches can learn how to develop a passing offense?

God, this is so misleading.

Blake Sims was moved to QB, he didn't have 5 years in the system as a QB.

And the "system" was a brand new one - Lane Kiffin was in his first year as OC at Bama last year.
