Well if that's the argument, then coming to LSU doesn't make sense.
What are you talking about? By all means, explain.

Selfishly I hate to see him go, but it sounds like this decision was made long before the end of this season. I know everyone wants to dump on him because of the way the season ended, but he leaves a LARGE void in production that LSU has to fill: 16 ppg/10 rpg/4 bpg.
Right now LSU fans are down on him, but history will show that he was a VERY good player for the Tigers

Worse decision:
Mickey leaving after this past month of terrible play
OR
Dillion Gordon actually announcing on social media that he's staying for his senior season

Oh yea, how could I forget?

Why is this a surprise ? There was no doubt from the get go that him and Martin were gonna leave after this season. Gonna be another failed NBA career with no college degree to fall back on. Genius !!!! But, par for the course !!!!

Martin and Simmons could be like Lebron and Wade.
LeBron and Bosh would be a better comparison.

elleshoe, lsu drinka, dennis harris, the prince, magnum rolle and jermaine williams are standing outside mickey's apartment in a hippie circle as dj marsig plays 'stay with me' on the 1's and 2's as stewie griffin compiles a list of 50 reasons for mickey to stay in BR while john brady and ina garten bake a huckleberry pie

Having Martin back would be a dream come true.
And if you look at the difference in salary for late 1st round to mid first round it does make some sense. It's the difference between sub 1mil numbers and 1.5 mil type numbers.

I was expecting him to be one and done anyway. Surprised he came back. Hope he does well wherever he lands and reps the Tigers positively!

This is not the first post with first hand sources claiming basically the same thing.
Wish him well. Unfortunate note to leave on given what could have been.
