It's very odd that this communication would have taken place at all on game day with Sumlin / Chavis.;
Does anybody know who initiated the communication?
It make s a difference, doesn't it?
Even if it was Sumlin, the fact that he would be calling on game day of a bowl game to another team's DC speaks volumes either for his lack of respect for Chavis' professionalism, or for the depth and maturity of their mutual understanding that Chavis was leaving, or both.
Makes BOTH of them look sleazy.

I want to know if they discussed the game and if so was there a mutual agreement that Third and Chavis would tank it?

agreed. how did Chavis even have time for the call?

it's a shame that a guy with Chavis' breadth of work would tarnish his legacy like this. sure, there's a lot that goes on behind closed doors in all realms of Athletics and maybe this is a small glimpse into it. but Chavis looks like a dumbass for how he's gone about all this. and Sumlin is an even bigger dumbass for publicly acknowledging that the pool boy was right.
