I played sports all year. I threw a football or baseball almost everyday as a kid. I believe the more you throw the stronger your arm will be. Long toss will definitely aid in strengthing arms.

You probably didn't throw with the same intensity as during baseball season.. The arm needs the long term rest and that why seasonal sports are best at the youth level.. The research is becoming pretty definitive on this.. Today's culture of year round travel ball is putting unneeded stress on youth arms.
