But his best tape was when he was standing up, rushing the QB

Yep. He's a Junior Galette clone. One dimensional pass rusher who is a liability against the run. No thanks. It would be better to take Preston Smith later on who can play both the run & rush the passer.

More tidbits for you.

"SI.com's Inside Read reported that scouts were "shaking their heads" over the way Kentucky has used redshirt senior DE Alvin "Bud" Dupree.
This season, the 6-foot-4, 267-pound Dupree has 5.5 sacks and 8.5 tackles for loss. Scouts are intrigued by Dupree's potential outside of the Wildcats' system. "They don’t ask him to get the quarterback," said one scout. "They ask him to do a lot of things, reads on the coverage, set the edge." The scout added that "[Dupree]’ll be a better pro than a college player because he can do so many things." The scout said that if Dupree was gunning for the QB more, his numbers could be similar to Missouri's Shane Ray (12 sacks), who's a possible Top-10 pick."

Kentucky redshirt senior DE Alvin "Bud" Dupree has "long arms, a quick burst and the agility to evade cut-blocks," writes CBS Sports' Rob Rang.
"Dupree projects well as traditional 4-3 defensive end or in the stand-up outside linebacker role he currently stars for the Wildcats," Rang wrote. On Saturday, Dupree was a big factor in Kentucky's near-upset of Mississippi State. "Dupree, who entered the game as the SEC's reigning sacks leader with 19 career QB takedowns, was often asked to drop into coverage or flatten out his rushes in an attempt to keep Prescott from scrambling," Rang wrote. "The alignment robbed him of opportunities to rush upfield and build upon his impressive resume but helped the Wildcats apply some big hits to Prescott." Dupree "showed an explosive burst," wrote the analyst, who added that the star 6-foot-4, 267-pound DE "varies his rushes, lulling opponents to sleep with one speed and surprising them with an occasional extra burst to generate big plays at critical moments."
