Will the BC spillway flood this year. I see it is up to the back ph the locks

Ive heard two things. One that after the last time the Morganza spillway was opened they now feel confident about everything involved and will be more likely to do it in the future.

Ive also heard that people in the Morganza Spillway have been told to be prepared for this possibly happening this year.

Not sure how that translated to the BC but just what ive heard

As of now it is not expected to be opened. We expect the river to rise another 4 feet and crest sometime at the end of the month. However if the mid west get significant rainfall over the next couple weeks this could change.

The snow in the north east has little affect on the Mississippi.
