"Pulled" the trigger on Canik TP9SA

Went ahead and ordered a canik TP9SA to keep in truck . Was debating it vs PX4 Storm compact , but decided to go with the canik for $ and what comes with it . It has gotten mixed reviews but after handling my buddies and what my intentions are ,this works for me .
Anyone have experience with it ?

Why on earth would you put a decocker on a single action pistol? If it's going to be your trick gun don't use the decocker or you'll have to rack the slide again to use it.

That's not how the decocker works. The decocker puts the pistol into double action mode. When decocked, the pistol has a longer and heavier pull.

Oddly enough, the TP9 SA still has the de-cocker button on top of the slide, but pressing it causes the trigger to go “dead”, with no double-action option.

The reviews I've seen said it was pretty unreliable. Maybe it's just me, but if I'm getting a truck gun, I want it to be as close to 100% reliable as possible. There are better options for about the same amount of money.

If I were going Canik, it would be the CZ based models.

Can you source the negative reviews ?

It's like the old car conversions where you could put a Ferrari body on a VW beetle chassis.
It might look like a P99, but it will never perform like one.
Decocker that puts gun in DA mode is so much better.

I'd love to do a review on it once you acquire it. Keep me posted.
