Raw numbers don't matter. Only percentage of population. I would suspect that the poor make up a higher percentage of the black population than the white population and so therefore have a stronger influence on the stats.
It was an example. I do not believe it to be true. I was illustrating that causation does not equal correlation. I think there are certainly cultural factors but those stats aren't the smoking gun that some people think they are.

Ya but cops single them out for crimes like rape and murder. Don't worry about the fact that whites get arrested at a HIGHER % than blacks for crimes that are up to a cops discretion like public drunkenness and disorderly conduct. That doesn't matter because cops can triple the per capita arrest rates for blacks by fabricating black murders and rapes while letting the whites go for the same crimes.
