After that, the buffet dinner. Cash bar during dinner, or after a social hour isn't so bad but still not my ideal.
The cash bar to me sort of depends how long the day's events last.
Still a buffet wedding is like a neighborhood BBQ Imo.

Sit down dinner weddings suck. Nothing more fun than being stuck in an assigned seat for an hour.

So sitting down to eat food is a formality you'd rather not be hassled by? Imo is sure beats walking around with a plate of food in one hand trying to eat and socialize at the same time.

Let's Face it, the reason why people have buffet style service at a wedding is because it's dirt cheap. If they could afford better they would. They're nothing less classy than getting dressed up for an event and carrying your own food to a table like your at a Burger King.

I've been to lots of weddings in more than a dozen states, the nicest ones always have some sort of formal dining as part of the event. Dinner is usually sandwiched in between other less formal parts of the event.
