Just a waste of time and money I think. Rewarding teams for underperforming. It's almost as bad as bowl season imo

Except none of these teams actually under-performed.

All of these teams were in the upper half of their conferences. Unlike the P5 conferences most of these conferences only qualify one team (whether more deserve it or not). Every school in the CIT tourney deserves to be there and has earned the right to play more basketball.

LSU made the NCAA tourney by finishing 3rd in the SEC, NSU made the CIT by finishing 3rd in the SLC. No difference considering the difference in the budgets each has to work with.

Everyone at NSU is pretty excited about a chance to play more ball and hopefully prove that we are one of the better mid-majors.

Embarrassing to even play in this tournament.

To Milhof, of course. You see, he played in March Madness when he was in school, so this stuff would be beneath him.

Right??

We are at 2 pages into this thread so far & no mention of a Lousiana Tech team turning down a post season bid yet. Looks like we are finally turning a corner.

Heard Tech was considered for a play in game but turned it down hoping for Final Four invite........

Seriously, hope you all win tomorrow. Going to CS will be tough for second round.

and then on top of that have to travel to a crappy Southland school?

San Antonio is a pretty cool city, so there is that regardless of what you think about the rest of the stuff. Incarnate Word has a pretty campus as well, right across the street from the zoo.

It would be embarrassing to me if I were the one who typed the messages that you have in this thread.
