I read it the first time as an 11 year old kid on my way to and for a few days in a trailer at Toledo Bend on Spring Break. It was terrible weather for the first two days we were there that year, so I sat in a dark trailer with thunder and lightening and howling wind while reading it. I couldn't put it down. Such a cool experience.
