Are you speaking of the research done by organizations like the esteemed Princeton Review, which makes money hand over fist fooling parents into shoveling money over to them for test coaching?

Share some of this research, I'll take a look.
Research done at universites. I will look through my psychometric book and find the studies. There is a whole line of research on it. There are a lot of critical studies though, but even they recognize a significant positive relationship. These criticisms have led to some interesting statistical and psychometric issues due to things like selection bias. This has given rise to new analytical techniques.

My friend had a 27 on his MCAT and after he used the Princeton review, he got a 34. I'd say its legit
