Okay, not to be rude but does not look like you spend a lot of time in your flower beds, so keep it simple
I would dig everything out, make a big semi circle on each end and re plant the crepe myrtles, build up the bed and either replant the IH and Azazela after they have been trimmed nicely or get some new ones, but would not mix them up go with about 3-5 across between the crepes, if you go with something new i would suggest lorpedlums

No offense, it's true.
I've had the house for 4 years now and never trimmed any of it except the "crepe murder" that a friend said I should do. I was oblivious to the fact that anything needed to be done until I noticed shite getting out of control last year.
I had to look up the loropetalums... while doing so I noticed this little tree on the right. What is that and is it a bad idea to use this to replace my CM? Maybe I just need to drive around my hood and steal ideas from my neighbors.
