Never said he didn't have good years, however he had some horrible years also. Those last four years were some of the worst basketball games I've ever witnessed.

Peace out. About to purchase tickets to see LSU in November in the Legend's Classic in brooklyn. Would love to finish this debate with some real tiger fans in New York.

they weren't good years but that wasn't a time of instant gratification either, he put us on the map therefore earning a little due consideration, now you've got mafia type booster clubs calling the shots and throwing around money to get things done the way they want them as opposed to sticking with a thought out plan, more or less buying success, which was not the way back then

Coach Brown demonstrated what the human spirit could accomplish. An average coach but his relentless positive outlook in life was addicting. He was the champion of the little guy, the underdog. He was Everybody's Rocky Balboa.

Dale brought hope to the program. He sold faith and togetherness with characters like John Williams, Don Redden, Derrick Taylor, and of course CJ35 and Shaq. He had his crazy moments with Tito Harford and jose Vargas. It was never boring sans the last five years or so.

Coach went to two FF's and for some reason, was the only college coach or administrator willing to stand up to Bobby Knight. How Knight intimidated people , I will never know.

Dale helped a depressed young man during one of his radio shows. Dale takes to the troubled youth for like six or seven minutes. That how Coach brown rolled. He helped people since his own father wasn't around when he was growing up poor in North Dakota.

Dale is a teacher and a preacher. He was successful because he cared about others. When he leaves this earth , it will be a difficult sad day.
