Now I don't know what they controlled for, but but intelligence is positively correlated with income. Therefore, I would bet that more intelligent individuals have greater means to purchase drugs and various types of drugs, and they may also be able to travel to other locations where novel drugs are available.they're probably also more capable of differentiating between drugs that are more dangerous and harmful and drugs that are much safer.
