Technically my great uncle. Closer in age to my dad than grandmother. So I always called him uncle.

Pray, God has a way of working these things out. Also, you need to meet privately with your grandfather and get a will in place to protect your heritage. Otherwise, your inheritance will be nothing.
Tell him what you have said here and how you want to buy some land that can be handed down and then put it in a family trust so shite like this never happens again. Do this right after your grandson is born. Meet with a lawyer then.
Alabama people are the worst I have ever heard about shite like this. This is at least the 10th story like this I know about.
Family in Bama means nothing way too often,
My Family in Louisiana barely speaks to each other but in part due to good law on forced heirship there this shite doesn't happen. WE would never think of pulling shite like this.
Also, When she gets old, put her in a home as soon as possible, the cheap state run type or send her sorry arse to live with her brother.![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/IconLOL.gif)
