The way this is happening we are wondering if they are going to cut us all out. Even though my dad is an only child. If we do get the inheretence, than absolutely. Money won't be an issue, for me, my kids, or their kids, if we handle it correctly.

How do you have an uncle if your dad is an only child?

One thing I have learned in life so far is to not expect anything to be given to me even if it is promised. If someone in my family decides to give me something now or after they die, I am and will be gracious and thankful. But I am not counting on anything until I actually have it in hand. I have watched my brother steal and waste money "loaned" from my parents and my brother in law do the same from my wife's parents. At first I was pretty pissed, but realized that it's not my money or stuff to be concerned with in the first place. It has made me a better person, because if I want something bad enough, I work my butt off to get it. For my brother (who is now in jail) and my sibling in laws that worry about this everyday, they will never be accountable for themselves and when mommy and daddy pass, they will finally have to learn how to make it on their own.
