I feel for the coach. I've always found it funny that such a stink was made in football (and even split the playoffs) when, at least to me, there has always seemed to be a much worse case of recruiting in basketball. Some of the teams are literally hand-picked all-star squads.

Freshmen JaVante Smart from Scotlandville is special, a top 5 players in his age group in the country. He won the MVP and a championship as a freshman, and has a chance to win one for three more years. I knew he would be a problem when he went off for 45 this summer, in his first Summer league game at Roman Banks team camp.

with football, i can understand it being a safety issue when Division I ready players are going against the average high school...

but in most other high school sports, kids being bigger or stronger is no reason not to play the games
