I agree with what you are saying. Since it is the Cubs led by Theo Epstein, Bryant is this can't miss prospect when in fact he is no better than Springer. As I stated earlier prospects are just that until proven otherwise. As a longtime Reds fan I've heard about the second coming many times, from Paul Householder to Austin Keatns to Homer Bailey and now Billy Hamilton and many in between. It gives you hope I guess.

This is a stupid argument by prime, people were blowing their load over springer too, it's just died down because he didn't have a trout like season. This happens with all prospects who don't blow up their first season, but to say springer didn't get any hype is crazy.

I don't know anyone who has said this. Everyone projects a high cealing but i've never seen anyone not warn of the pitfalls of contact issues and just general 'not all prospects pan out' talk.

Most say addison russell is the best bet to be an everyday player because his floor is high.

I get the cubs prospect fatigue from rival fanbases, but please don't bastardize the facts to make a point unless you're just talking about cubs fans, in which case, as a reds fan, i'm sure you're aware of how miserable fans can be when it comes to their team.
