So I was invited to join a fantasy baseball league this year and thought why not, ive played fantasy football for a couple of years and sorta did basketball then everyone started not caring.

anyways I was hoping to get some tips from some of you vets on what players to look for and who might drop in drafts ect. ive never been a huge MLB fan so I definitely wont know as much about some of the players then everyone else in my league.

any help would be appreciated.

What kind of league is it? Keeper? standard? 12 team? head to head or rotisserie (where you acumulate stats yearly and are given points based on categorical rank)?

Personally, I like it a touch more than fantasy football as it can be very analytical and relies a bit less on luck than football. It is not for everyone though.

I've never seen anyone succeed in a fantasy baseball league that wasn't a big baseball fan.

So my first tip would be to become a bigger MLB fan.

Baseball is a whole different monster with setting lineups daily instead of weekly. You constantly have to keep tabs on who's hot or who's about to get called up. Football is mostly luck and more draft emphasized.

The catcher position is thin so go with the best one in round 1 and look for top flight pitching rnd 2-5 then start filling out your bats.
