I hate to stick up for the acc, but are you really so dense to think the acccg would only sell 40k seats in the dome? There's a major reason it's attendance is so laughably bad, and that reason would disappear were it in Atlanta.
What would change if they moved it from CLT to ATL?
Both cities are hubs for major airlines.
Both cities have interstate access to the ACC schools
I highly doubt that the the ACCCG becomes a play in game for the playoffs
Playing in a CC venue vs the open is the only thing that would change and the weather is not what is keeping the fans away from the ACCCG.
As I have said before the SECCG does not need to move, but the baseball tournament needs to rotate between Memphis, Bham, Pensacola, and Biloxi.

Please don't make me talk to you like you're a 6 year old. You know the answer, everyone on here knows the answer. I won't even dignify your shitty question with telling you.

Yet Atlanta has one of the busiest airports in the world. It is far more accommodating to fly direct into Altanta than Charlotte from pretty much anywhere you're coming from.

waht does this have to do with comparing the current ACCCG to a hypothetical one in Atlanta?

I assure you it is a massively important role. The first couple years there were some clunker matchups, but your'e out of your damn mind if you don't think more people would travel to Atlanta in a dome than they would in jacksonville or charlotte and sit outside in december.
Also as mentioned previously, there is so much more to do to make an "event" of the thing in Atlanta than charlotte. I was just in charlotte 2 months ago for a football game so I feel I have at least a shred of experience with it. The city itself is very nice, clean, and I don't really have anything bad to say about charlotte. But it doesn't have the attractions and spectacles that Atlanta does for a visiting football fan. Not even remotely close actually.
