I didn't beat them like a rented mule. Just slapped their asses a couple of times to get my point across. It was nothing gratuitous. Just a few licks to make my point.
Judge all you want, but they've been well behaved, well disciplined dogs ever since. They come when called, kennel on command, and don't venture near the road. I'll take that any day. Whispering is fine the majority of the time. But occasionally you have to get their attention. It must've worked, cause I only had to do it once.
