How did you get free from living in Missouri?
Desire all along was to leave Missouri. Had no desire to repeat high school, so Mizzou and Missouri State were out. Wash U was too damn much money for a liberal arts degree, which is what I wanted and knew I'd be going to law school or getting my MFA. Nearly went to U of Miami, but decided, despite the scenery and the 2/3 scholarship, free was better. Plus LSU's English department is actually pretty good and all of my college credit transferred. Pretty good decision, IMO.
And Kirkwood is a cool area. Redeveloping when I was in high school. John Burroughs is a damn fine school, too.

Interesting. Glad you came and enjoyed it. LSU gets a bad rap on occasion but it is a bargain and I always say you get out of anything what you put in it.
My wife and myself are alum yet my daughter wants to go to UT. We will just have to see what her plans are.
