Glyphosate

^Yep, Roundup is the only real post emergent option. Mix it strong, about 12 oz. per gallon, and wipe on using either a paint roller dipped in the solution, or a latex glove under a cotton glove dipped in it. Wiping/rolling on instead of spraying will keep you from having an collateral damage to the desirable flowers in the bed.
Usually it's Bermuda that intrudes flowerbeds and not torpedo, but either way the above method will work.
The granular you have sounds like a pre-emergent (Barricade, Freehand, etc.)

It helps to use a marker dye to keep track of the painted weeds if there are a lot. It also makes you more careful with your herbicide application.

Any idea what this stuff is? I'm ready to kill it as it has taken over the 1st 25% of my otherwise decent backyard.

Sorry, I'll try to figure that out.

Alright guys give me some advice. Just moved into a new house and think I have a lot of rye in my bermuda. Patches of a thin bladed green grass all over the place that outgrows everything.
What are my options?

Wait another week or two for it to die from the heat (if it is rye)

Likely green kyllinga

Any sedge killer will take out kyllinga

Long time lurker here in need of some weed ID help.
In addition to the usual dollar weed in a few wet areas I can't seem to get rid of, started getting these popping up left and right in the landscaping:
Any help identifying and suggestions for control that won't kill the rest of my lawn and landscaping is much appreciated.

Just walk through every now and then and pull em up.
Other than that rub glyphosate on the individual weeds instead of spraying.
Pulling much faster and safer

^This. And a good pre-emergent like Barricade goes a loooooong way.

Anybody ever spray Dismiss? was looking at something to control weeds + sedge & kyllanga, and supposedly this stuff will do it with a quickness.
Found some online for $70 for 6 oz. Mix ratio of 4 per 20 gal.
Or would I be better off just waiting another month or so and buying a 2.5 jug of MSMA from a farmer friend for the same price?

What lawn grass do you have? I've never used Dismiss, but it looks like good stuff. Gives 60 day control, which is pretty impressive. As far as the MSMA, I prefer Certainty for sedges.

Bermuda
New house and the late move in screwed me up. Previous owner did nothing as far as lawn care so I am getting ready to fight a battle.
We got a late cool snap a few weeks ago and I got some 2-4-d down and that killed off a lot of my problems. I am trying to figure out if I should put down some nitrogen now to help out what Bermuda is there and then spray it next month when temps and humidity creep up.
My main culprits are sedge and kyllanga, a few spots mixed weeds still around.

I think everyone with Bermuda is battling sedges...sooooo much rain lately. Like I said, I use Certainty for sedges, but that Dismiss looks pretty legit.

I was told I have centipede but I know there's some other shite in lawn too. I have dark green patches that grows faster than the rest of the grass. Is that crabgrass? Not sure how dumb this question is. What are all these seed heads from? And what do I do about it? Thanks.
