That's absolute bullshite.
My dog knows the sound of cheese opening. She doesn't have to re "learn" it everyday.

You misunderstand. Episodic memory is the ability to recall events of the past. They can still be conditioned to react (e.g. Pavlov's dogs).

This too, so many things I see every day that tell me my dog remembers things.
Hel the sound of her leash makes her go crazy, do I have to re-teach her that sound every day/

Count mine in when she hears me pulling out a garbage bag to replace the existing one that I take out to the trash can.
