In cash games, I've never pulled someone's blinds. Let them take a piss break or smoke break. Tournament style, you definitely take the blinds away.

This...but you also can't run into the person who will want to take multiple breaks when it's their turn to post blinds. That's why I said, if they miss a few hands (and skip their blinds) if they want to jump back in before it's time to post again they put a small blind in one hand and a large blind in the next. They do this, then everything is even and they can't get away with skipping blinds. They would be dumb to not just wait till it's back to their blind to play, but to each his own.

Well I never played with douchebags like that thankfully. Either way, we usually let the person sit back down at the position he got up in. If he was under the gun when he got up, he can't sit back down until he's in that same position.

If someone got up on the button, they can sit back down at any point since no other position is more advantageous.

Don't know if this has been mentioned or not, but if you're not going to rake, then I would suggest taking $5-$10 per player to cover expenses. Beer, liquor, food, etc. Don't run a game and not offer drinks and food. Also start a bad beat pot. Rake a couple of dollars each time you have a pot bigger than $50. If someone gets beat with Kings full of aces or better, they get the bad beat pot.
