Because LSU is still insanely talented compared to every other team in the SEC except maybe Bama, and there's that TOP thing that I mentioned earlier that usually leads to statistically strong defenses. Hopefully you're just trolling and you're not legitimately this clueless

so let me get this straight...

you say "chavis isnt that good, look at his 2013 performance"
in response I say "well lets look at literally every other year"
you respond "well yeah he had mathieu reid claiborne any DC would do well with that"
(mind you the 2008 defense didn't look that great. whats up with that? the talent was here? ITS JUST THAT EASY , RIGHT?)
so when I use the 2014 defense as my counter, the one that had none of the players you listed, you respond with this

meaning that if Chavis had finished any worst than first it would be a disappointment. except that he did finish first. so, he did exactly what he was supposed to do.

lets see where Steeles defense ranks in 2015 with the same talent, then maybe we can have a better picture of how "awful" of a coordinator chavis was.
