Get her one, they are the smartest and most loyal and trainable dogs around! We love ours - got her as a 14 month old rescue dog. Never regretted a minute - she is 7 1/2 yrs old now. Devoted, active, protective and playful as ever. We walk her twice a day around our neighborhood. Plus our yard in between. She loves inside and goes to her spot to lie down. I'd recommend a crate for yours to sleep in or to go to when you want her to - you don't need to close the crate door if you train it to "stay". Very obedient. One downside is that as a breed Shepherds do shed a lot. Brush regularly with a Furminator helps.
