Then get the law changed to require those openly carrying to submit to providing identification. Texas state law does not require that.

Otherwise, you are being illegally detained. And make no mistake, if you walk away from the "questioning," you will likely be arrested for evading arrest or detention.

My point is, if people would just act reasonable, answer a few questions and be on their way, then there is no need to get the law changed. Neither party did anything wrong. I find it odd that people go out of their way and do irrational things just to prove that, by law, they can do those things. It doesn't make much sense to me.
