I hate to say this but kids with that syndrome will at times say things that are VERY inappropriate or do things that are.

No excuse for the beating, so don't take it that way. Just playing devil's advocate and curious as to what he said or did before the beating started.

edit. I just read the OP and not the comments here. Am reading through now and didn't knkow the cameras captured it all and she had reported him for bullying.

Again: what does Aspergers have to do with this?

The bully had been picking on the brother all month, and decided to extend treatment to family.


Eta: however, what if bully said something to the kid and the kid hit him first?

Right now we are going by what mother had claimed. What if video shows different story?
