So in your real world, how others perceive you is not important? I think a recruiter would be interested to know that a potential recruit chose this loser's strategy because they didn't think they could beat another team. I assume your opinion is a team should be loaded with people like this.

This situation is black and white, and the side that I am on in this case is DEFINITELY the right one.

But hey, maybe you should ask the coaches who will probably be fired, or the schools who are out $1,500, or the girls who won't even get the chance to lose to that better team. They live in the real world, where their actions had terrible consequences, based a lot on the perception they created for themselves and their school. Perhaps they would accept an invite to your real world where a shitty attitude yields you at best second place.
