1 Rep Max Calculators for extrapolating Lifting Numbers

Are these things accurate? I plugged in some numbers trying to figure my 1RM for a new program and the numbers seem awful high.
I put in 215lbs for 5 reps and gives me 245lb as a 1RM. I highly doubt I could really get 245 up.

they are pretty close. I find my true 1rm to be about 90-95% of what they say based off a 5rm

thanks. I mean I have never attempted to get a true 1RM and it doesn't makes sense to really do that but it just struck me that the numbers are probably slightly high.
I think your 90-95% is probably more accurate...90% of the 245lb 1RM calc I got is about 220 lbs. which seems closer to reality to me. I could probably get 225-230 one time

you should probably look into taking some better supplements and put in more work at the gym

All joking aside, taking supplements may not be the worst idea for you. Most people fail to get the daily intake of vitamins, minerals, and such that they need through their diet.
I take supplements daily not related to working out.
If you are wanting to up your weight in the gym it would also be good to consider protein shakes or drinks for before, during, or after. I personally like during or after.

How many days a week?
What is your strategy? What working out method do you use?

he's not the tallest either. I really want to know how much height affects my bench. Its literally only time in world i wish i was short.

That's your warmup right?

I know its the OT where everyone knocks out 25 reps at 225 to warm up, but you can be fit, healthy, and strong without worrying about your 1 rep max.
Also, nothing wrong with taking a reasonable amount of protein and some general dietary supplements, but get your gains on your natural pace and they will stay with you for a long time.

Don't think just maybe a thread with this content might draw more people whom workout and thus people with significantly higher 1rm's then the general population of the OT...

that's just silly. however, i'd definitely saw that 225 (imo) is the magic line that separates someone who just works out and someone who is in really good shape (strength wise)

225x10 has always been what i thought was that line
