You'd want the best of the two back, for sure. Depending on where they put Lelito (probably Center), you'd be dealing with two years of experience between the entire interior line. Throwing out an entire interior offensive line like that is something you do in a rebuilding year, because that type of decision is a risk to any quarterback. Any year with Drew Brees under center should be treated like we have a legit chance to win it all.

Wasn't Evans hurt last year? If so, I agree with keeping him over Grubs at a reduced contract. Regardless it is nice to see confirmation that they are addressing the Guard position. Grubs has never impressed, and he has been playing poorly as of late

Agreed. I think they'll keep at least one of Grubbs and Evans. Goodwin most likely won't be returning at the starter, and 3 new starters is too much turnover.
For anyone who watched the Office, the headline of the NOLA article ("Cap-strapped Saints were prepared to release Pro Bowl guard Jahri Evans, now negotiating to keep him, sources say") reminds me of the Halloween episode in season 2 where Michael goes to fire Creed, but Creed convinces Michael to fire Devon instead.
quote:
Michael: I have to fire someone today, okay? Creed: Fine. Fire someone else. Fire Devon. He's terrible. I am so much better at my job than Devon.
