Taken from Jalopnik/Foxtrot Alpha. Neat article about the USAF bring a B52 back from the boneyard in Arizona. It's new home is at Barksdale AFB.

I worked that pig in Minot...if I remember correctly it contributed to the fight in the skies over Iraq in 03 and Afghanistan in years thereafter...

The B52 really needs to be re-engined. The current engines the B52 uses are gas hogs and dirty as shite. It needs engines like what the C-17 has. They've been talking about this since the 80s, can't believe it hasn't happened yet.
