South Dakota, especially west of the Missouri River is really nice and the people are super friendly. East river has some excellent pheasant hunting.
North Dakota, I'm not real sure...

Way too many votes in here for the Dakotas, and even saw a vote for Iowa. Really? Iowa is a great place to live.
Where to live in North Dakota? Fargo is a great city. There are also plenty of recreational opportunites in NoDak if you like hunting and fishing.
South Dakota is beautiful west of the Missouri River. Not many people out on the plains, but beautiful, and the Black Hills area is an awesome area to live. East River has great pheasant hunting grounds and lots of lakes for fishing and boating. The people in South Dakota are salt of the earth types, for the most part very friendly. Sioux Falls is a very nice city that is growing. Sioux Falls and Fargo are alot alike, great economic opportunties in both of those towns.
Iowa is picturesque with quaint small towns and vibrant cities. The state is full of friendly people and there are plenty of things to do.
One state I would not want to live in is New Mexico. No way Jose. You also could not pay me enough money to live in Missouri. What a God-awful wretched place.
