If you're willing to walk a couple blocks, you can probably get overnight for $25/night, I'd imagine. I'll have to look at the rates at my garage when I get out, but I think its around there.

Fortunately have free 24/7 access to a garage, so I don't pay too close attention.

Parking would be so much cheaper if we had Uber here.

This.

If it's $43 for the whole weekend, then yeah, that's a good deal. Per night, forget it.

Amtrak is good. Cabs are waiting there. Another option is to park on one of the side streets between St Charles and Magazine for free and call a cab. A cab will pick you up in less than 10 min.

Just park at Harrahs and play for 30 min. It will probably cost you 100 dollars but at least you wont lose it on parking.

So where are these context clues that apparently only you can see?

I know Hilton is 30, Ritz is 50 and Sheraton was 40. All per day.

Wait what?

$40/night is standard for hotel valet parking. It drops a few dollars for self park, but it is per night... not for your whole stay.

I'd be excited as hell if it was $43 for my whole stay (assuming my stay is more than 1 night).

Because you park your car and leave it generally when you stay in the quarter. He says it will cost $43. In the title it says "parking next weekend".

Context tells me he is staying the weekend in the FQ and it will cost $43 to park his car. Meaning he'll be there at least 2 nights & that is what they quoted him.

It's Lent, baw. Nobody goes to NOLA until after Easter.

I just assumed he was going for 1 night. You can find the prices for parking at every hotel online. I have never seen any for less than $30something per night in New Orleans.

Oh, somebody is going. I tried to book hotels every weekend through mid April, and none have hit the low season prices yet.

Context says complaining over $21.50 per day is likely not happening. Take your faux smugness elsewhere.
