Oh okay. I'm sure you could do it there. I'm a deep frying type, but I imagine it will be fine. Would be a different type of crust, though, depending on depth.

I actually had no idea what hot chicken was before last month, and lately I'm seeing it everywhere: in the previous fried chicken thread, my friend ordered it at Saltine in Jackson, saw it last night on Parts Unknown, and now this thread.

How deep is your skillet? I have the cast iron fryer skillet/pot. It's much deeper than my cast iron skillet in which I could not fry chicken. It's not nearly deep enough.
