Jared Dudley was on Zach Lowe's podcast this week and he told a story about his knee injury with the Clippers. Basically a year of rehabbing with them and it didn't improve. First thing when he got traded to the Bucks, they recommended working with a trainer, from Los Angeles ironcially, that had him do things kind of like what got Gordon healthy, strengthen surrounding muscles to take pressure off the knee. Within a week he felt back to normal. Having the right training staff and facilities really can make a big difference.
Not to sound like a dick, but any trainer, PT, or ortho who DIDN'T recommend strengthening the surrounding musculature had no right to be working in any capacity. That's not exactly some huge breakthrough.

Unless you're the all healing suns training staff /therapists. Who heal by the power of touch.

This was the Donald Sterling Clippers, who in many regards were run like the George Shinn Hornets. Also, I think you are wrong to assume everyone would give the same advice. Eric Gordon finally got his knee right after seeing multiple doctors and having multiple surgeries, but not because of the surgeries, but because 2 years after getting injured he went to a doctor in Chicago who told him to go to LA and do rehab that focused on strengthening the surrounding muscles. Yeah it'd be nice if everyone was good at their jobs, but the reason we're talking about is that it's pretty evident they aren't.
