They have to pick team names and do team activities, everyone but the named partnership hates it because they all work 70 hours a week already.

Partners love it because if enough people participate, health insurance premiums are lower overall for a company, or at least that is how it is with my employer's plan. They mentioned in our last staff meeting that they may explore penalizing employees (i.e. raise employee premiums) if enough people do not participate in 2015.

i go to the gym during my hr lunch break

I know a toooon of people do this everyday, but what do you do after the workout, cleanliness wise? Do you shower after? Wash yourself with a rag or something?

When I workout I don't look like I just got out of a swimming pool, but I would definitely be worried about any odor or sweatign before going back to the office.

sorry just getting back. Im not a big sweater when i work out "as long as im not doing cardio. So i just kind of wipe down, spray some axe and head back to office. I dont do any cardio during lunch normally, just weights.

Glad you learned it. Team building exercises are totally unnecessary in truly professional environments.

I try to exercise my mind a lot by looking at tons of porn. I imagine I burn a good bit of mental(sometimes physical)calories

I know what you mean. I often roll my eyes at whatever crock of crap management cooks up, but I still don't mind fun breaks from the status quo.

I started parking in the farthest spot from the door, walk to peoples offices instead of calling/emailing. Started printing to the copier instead of my desktop printer.

I mean, getting beers is one thing. Making people take time away from their families to do lame games and whatnot on a weeknight, IMO, just reflects an inflated view of what the company means to employees. Especially if it is a regular thing.

FWIW my GF's company didn't provide Garmins or anything, that may have provided a fair incentive.

What is your Garmin Connect user name? (If it doesn't include your real name) I will add ya

I got a 2 for 1 and gave a coworker my other one. Competing against each other keeps us motived and moving, competition is the best way to stay active for me.

Run everyday at lunch, it takes some of the guilt out of extended happy hour...some.

It does include my real name. Email me at sev09td AT gmail.com and I'll send it to you.

A few people in my office go walk around the building every hour.

...or couple of hours in my case. Have to get up and move around. I'm a water drinker all day, so I'm taking the steps to the first floor etc. to use the restroom.

Totally agree - that sounds like it would suck. We have happy hours, golf tourneys, crawfish boils, parties, and other stuff, but family is almost always invited. Plus, it helps if you work with fun people like I do.
