They definitely work. It's just a question of whether or not you'll really use it.

I have one that I used when I had back issues. It definitely helped. Now, it just sits...though I did think of breaking it out the other day.

Yes. I've had one for 15+years. I've had two back surgeries and use it every day. It helps me a lot. I'm 6'2' 180lbs. I bought mine at Academy for $85.00.

Results are very mixed. There are better extraction tools out there

I have had a Teeter Hang Up table for about 4 years. I don't use it very often, but after a particularly hard day practicing dentistry, a 5-10 minute session with the inversion table definitely makes my back feel better.
While no panacea, I would that most people with intermittent back issues could benefit in using it.

Join a club and work on your core with a good OL fashion ab stand. On most there's a setting for you to hang upside down at least from waist . There's no substitute for core workouts and stretching to ease back pain. Good luck
