re: Anyone concerned that our hitting coach has never coached hitters?

Funny how that works
We have about the best mix you could ask for in today's game. Speed, some pop, experience, depth, and talented youth that can develop at their own pace. As long Mainieri trusts those facts and doesn't panic when we hit a tough spell we'll probably be destroying just about every staff we face from early/mid April forward.
Then we just have to break through the pressure barrier in the postseason.

Why don't you send an e-mail to PM and express your concerns about AC. I mean really, go right to the top and ask Mainieri why he hired Andy Cannizaro. Please let us all know what he says.............

Don't act like you would have agreed with hiring Matt Mauck to be our Offensive Coordinator without any coaching experience.

Substitute in former Tulane QB Shaun King if u would rather. Played in the pros, analyst etc.

Not 4 runs but only 6 hits! Good thing we have a homer.

Andy has a very good baseball IQ. Trust me he's an improvement over Javi. That's not saying much, but give him time.

Did your parents have any kids that weren't retarded?

We probably averaged 2 or 3 runs on Friday nights last year. Got 4 last night. I'm not complaining yet.

javi's tee ball technique really worked didn't it,any body with a heart beat is a improvement over javi.

I've known Andy for a long time. He will be fine. He won't come in and change everyone's swing to a certain style (like Joe Brockhoff used to do) but he'll work with a kids natural swing to improve the mechanics. I watched him work with kids at his camps and he does a great job of communicating, demonstrating, and encouraging. His dad taught him well.

Or 6.

Double d, your right about his dad. I wished he would have played ball at Mandeville high instead of St Paul's. He had a good career at Tulane.

He played at St.Pauls because all of his best friends played there-- the 8th grade
played together from 8th thru 12th--- I remember them 10 run ruling
all the Catholic League 8th grade teams-- they were great---just lacked the
pitching-- otherwise they would have won a couple of State titles.
Andy went on to be the GOAT at Shortstop for Tulane. Starter
All 4 years. He will undoubtedly help the program.
