Bistineau must have been the place to be this weekend. Black Bayou Hosston was not. That gar hole kicked my arse for the second weekend in a row.

pattern?
All of our fish were caught in 7' or less on 1/4 oz spinnerbaits, squarebills, and jigs. Water was pretty stained and there had to be plenty of grass. We were fishing on the north end of the lake.

if you went back this weekend and could only fish one of those, which would it be?

Probably the crankbait. We each caught our biggest fish on it, and my dad has caught four in the 5-7 pound range on it in the last two weeks.
Numbers wise I would go with the spinnerbait though.

My dad and brother caught 61 with a guide on Friday (13th) and another 35 on Saturday (14th) just them. All caught on rat-l-trap and spinnerbait. I think they were fishing mostly with a red rat-l-trap and golden shiner spinnerbait.

The guys on this site are pretty awesome giving real tips and help you catch fish. we have reservations the first week in march also. Seems like that is going to be a very busy week on Toledo this year.
