Who else hates this practice used by companies?

Easy to sign up, damn near impossible to cancel.

I was looking for something and I ventured over to Adobe and signed up for part of their Creative software subscription. You could cancel within 24 hours and the subscription would end. I signed up, found something better to use, so I went back to Adobe and cancelled within 24 hours..Or so I thought.

I get a charge yesterday (yeah, not cancelled) and I spent over 30 minutes on the phone with their India CS group. I had not even used the service, but since my original cancellation didn't go through, they wanted me to pay $100 of the remaining $200 to cancel. They eventually dropped the cancellation fee, but it's a fricking crock.

It's a crock that you can sign up with an easy click, but they make it damn near impossible to cancel.

The worst. The stories I hear of Comcast gives me nightmares. I'll go cable and Internet-less before I deal with them if it ever comes down to that.

It sucks not being able to get a flood quote without the elevation report.

Please. You know the elevation. Give me the quote. $300 for every new application?
What a fricking racket.

Back in the day, it was next to impossible to locate the "end subscription" link on the Netflix website. It was so damn frustrating.

I never do free trials or anything like that now. The Advocate keeps trying to hook me but it's no no no.

Amazon is the only service I've cancelled easily by recent memory. XM Radio took close to an hour and I had to refuse all their "specials" etc.

Spam email that makes you enter your email address to cancel what you never signed up for in the first place is also especially infuriating.
