File the claim with the Insurance Co. Pay the deductible and have it fixed right. Turn the information over to the insurance company. They will collect all the damages from him and return to you the deductible from the first collections.

Contact his parents and ask them would they like to pay out of pocket for the damages or would they rather you file a claim against their homeowner's insurance liability coverage (specifically the physical damage to property of others coverage). If the 18 year old still lives at home or is a student dependent he is an insured under the homeowner's policy.
