I called them for an emergency a few weeks ago at about 1 am on a Friday. I was shocked how fast they showed up.

I'm glad to hear it. My friend lives alone in Lake Vista. She got an alarm installed, but she worries that she'll be dead before NOPD responds to a 911 call.

Why does the LSP only see a need to send extra troopers into the French Quarter during Mardi gras, what about the rest of the city where patrols are lighter because NOPD is in the quarter - they should be offering up the same resources all year long, especially if they think they deserve at 20% raise..
