I ate at Doe's tonight. Porterhouse, loaded baked potato, house salad with house dressing, sweet potato cheesecake... Honestly the best meal I've ever had in the area. Wife and I ate our fill and probably have a pound of steak left that I brought home. It's not cheap, $100 without alcohol or appetizers for a shared steak, but it is worth it.

Yea, we had a great meal. Had a big group of about 20. They handled it fine. Broiled and fried shrimp were money. Tamales were pretty good. Me and the bride spilt the 2lb t-bone. Maybe a hair past medium rare on the fillet side but the strip side was perfect. Really good steak. steamed veggies were good steamed veggies. Pretty impressed. We had a room reserved so we went right on in, but there was a wait from the time we got there till we left. I think Monroe might finally have a restaurant break the Washington plaza restaurant killing curse.
