Could they add some type of clause to the LOI that can let the player out of the contract if he can prove a coach lied to him? Say a coach promises that he's not leaving, but after signing day the coach leaves and it can be proven that the coach interviewed at other schools prior to signing day. It could work for other situations as well, such as promising a player the first carry of the season, etc.
