What if someone signs with an out of state school, changes his/her mind and just enrolls through TOPS at LSU for the summer classes?

In the fall, does it count against the out-state school scholarship limits if they don't release you? Are you eligible to play at LSU as long as your aren't on an athletic scholarship?

If they don't play for the school they signed for, they have to sit out a year. Basically a redshirt or transfer, depending how you look at it.

Tops still counts as a scholarship and would count against the scholarship limit for that school

If they didn't, LSU and other states with similar programs would have a huge advantage over other schools
