Albeit it was shitty for her to "cheat" on you, you probably should have heeded the blatantly obvious warning that she was unhappy.
I equate this to a guy never getting any in a relationship. Eventually he is going to go outside of the relationship to get what he wants from someone else.
Y'all are both better off.

IMHO, a big part of the problem was the long distance thing. Worked for a while, but we each eventually got way too busy with both school and work to see each other every night, then every other night, etc. The last couple of months was only one night during the week and Friday night, Saturday, and Sunday
