What's stupid and outlandish about it? Tank veterans have said it was realistic.

I don't doubt the representation of the tanks and their crews were realistic. It looked and felt very realistic. More so than any tank movie I've ever seen. But the final scene?

100-200 battle-hardened SS troops are going to take several hours to attack a single disabled U.S. tank. And they do it by repeatedly walking/running upright in front of the stationary tank's guns. In the final month of the war, experienced German troops didn't know how to handle a single, crippled U.S. tank? Not realistic at all.

And the American tank crew, with several minutes to prepare for the suicide fight, forgets to bring into the tank extra ammo stored on the exterior of the tank, forcing them to leave the safety of the tank during the battle. Battle-hardened, experienced tank crew with a top-notch commander, and they make this stupid blunder? Not realistic.

And when all is done, with 100+ of his comrades laying dead, an SS officer will allow one of the American tankers to live and escape capture by simply turning and walking away. No.

B movie silliness and stupidity. Like the ScyFy channel. I just shook my head as I left the theater.
